I am often asked by parents for resources to support their child's education. I have gathered many sources in my years as a parent and teacher. Both my children perform at grade level and were reading before entering kindergarten.
Star Fall I highly recommend this website to help kids who struggle with phonics.

Ticket to Read ($29.95 per child/year) Ticket to Read does cost money but the site takes children step-by-step through phonics and eventually moves to reading easy passages. A 14 day free trial is available.
Study Island ($49-$59 per child/year) Study Island is recommended for children who struggle with more than one concept in school. The questions are CA content standards for 2nd to 5th grade. Programs are available for all grades K-12.
Letter Factory DVD This fun DVD is great for the car. It teaches children that every letter has a sound. The follow up DVD Word Factory teaches children how to put sounds together to make words. Many libraries have this DVD available for check out.
Hooked on Phonics I highly recommend the reading programs offered for K and 1st grades. This program is expensive (about $200). Some libraries have this program available for check out. I do NOT recommend the Hooked on Math programs or the reading programs for 2nd graders.
