Vaccines

People have asked my opinion regarding autism and vaccines.  I answer truthfully…I simply don’t know.  I have read some of the research, looked at websites for pro and con, and discussed it with other people.  Truth is I do not consider myself an expert either way. I would NEVER offer my opinion on a medical matter.

However, I do have some questions regarding vaccines and autism.
1)    If vaccines don’t cause autism, why do autistic symptoms show up around the same time as the 15 month   vaccines?
2)       What causes autism if vaccines don’t?
3)      I have read that autism is a genetic disposition that is aggravated by environmental conditions (living conditions, nutrition and health and vaccines). Why are so many vaccines given at once if there is even the chance that some children may develop autism as a result?  Can the immunization schedule be changed?
4)      I know the MMR has been studied but what about the rest of the childhood vaccines?
5)      Has a study ever been conducted by an objective agency or at least one that has multiple stakeholders?

I disagree with people in the autism community who try to bully or scare people about vaccines.  Even after Kyle was diagnosed, Tara received her immunizations on time.  I would like doctors to make sure parents are armed with all the information regarding the immunization schedule.

I cannot offer a website or a book for further reading.  Everything I have read is biased.  If anyone has a good resource that presents a balanced view, please post it in the comments section.
